DETECTIVES from the PSNI’s Terrorist Investigation Unit have released a man arrested for questioning over violent dissident activity in Strabane.
The 49-year-old man was detained this morning, Friday, August 11 and taken to the serious crime suite in Antrim for questioning.
The arrest came as part of investigations into “ongoing violent dissident republican activity” in the Co Tyrone town.
The PSNI said the man was freed pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
