Ryan McBride doubtful for this evening’s game against Sligo Rovers

DERRY City will be looking to put Friday night’s disappointing defeat behind them when they make the trip to Sligo this evening.

Sligo Rovers play host to the Candy Stripes at the Showgrounds.

Rovers are looking to make it six points in four days after the win against Drogheda United on Friday night.

The 4-0 victory at United Park gave new manager Micky Adams his first points since taking over at The Showgrounds.

But Derry went down 2-0 at the Brandywell to Dundalk ending their two win run.

Now Peter Hutton is hoping that they can get back to winning ways and take three points this evening back to Derry.

Ryan McBride and Stephen Dooley were both substituted due to injury during Friday night’s defeat.

They are both rated doubtful for this evening’s match.

McBride didn’t train last week and was withdrawn during Friday’s game.

Dooley who endured an injury hit start to the season was another victim and was called ashore with a hamstring injury.

Sligo are without Gavin Peers who is suspended as he has collected five yellow cards.

Kevin Devaney and Jeff Henderson remain out through injury.

Danny Ledwith is fit again and should return, David Cawley is back having missed Friday’s game due to the birth of his child.

Hutton will also have to plan without Conor McCormack after his red card against Dundalk. Patrick McEleney is also a doubt
