B&Q has confirmed it is to close its Derry store.
The DIY retailer announced in March it was to close as many as 60 of its stores across the UK.
At the time it would not say which of its nine stores in the North would be shut, but Derry and the Boucher Road store in Belfast were the likely targets.
Today, B&Q have confirmed the Derry and Belfast stores will close to the public by the end of this financial year.
The company refused to say how many staff would be affected.
A B&Q spokesman commented: “Colleagues in our Derry and Boucher Road, Belfast stores have been advised that their stores are included in the proposed store closures in this financial year.”
