Brown-Bins-001RESIDENTS in the Northland Road, Lawrence Hill, Rock Road, Strand Road and Queen’s Quay are advised to leave their bins out for collection by 7 am for the next three week.

This is to facilitate planned road works being carried out by the Department for Regional Development NI.

Council has been contacted by the DRDNI to inform that through traffic in one direction of the B507 Northland Road from U1513 Rock Road to U1512 Northland Road, will be temporary closed for three weeks from Monday next 29 June until Sunday 18 July, to facilitate the relaying of street lighting ducts and the replacement of street lighting.

A diversion route will be signposted via U1512 Rock Road, A2 Strand Road, A2 Queen’s Quay Roundabout, A2 Strand Road and U1512 Lawrence Hill.

A spokesperson for the Council’s cleansing section explained that in an effort to relieve traffic congestion expected in and around these areas, householders are being urged to leave their bins out earlier in the mornings for collection.
