‘SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL’ CRASH VICTIM KATHRYN JONES TO BE LAID TO REST TODAY

THE funeral of the young “simply beautiful” Derry woman killed in a road crash in Co Donegal last week is taking place at lunchtime today.

Kathryn Jones died when the Opel car she was driving was in collision with a lorry at Drumkeen on the main Letterkeny to Stranorlar road at around 7.00 am on Thursday

The 27-year-old is the girlfriend of well loved Highland Radio DJ Paddy Friel.

Kathryn had just left his home and was heading to work when the crash happened

Her remains will be taken from her Corrib Court home in Ballymagroarty at 11.45am for 12.30pm Requiem Mass in the Church of the Holy Family.

She will be laid to rest afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore.

Friends have taken to social media to express their shock, sadness and sorrow at her passing.

They described her as “simply beautiful”.
