DERRY City Council has held a special staff recognition event.
The event, held yesterday in the Guildhall, marked the official end of Derry City Council following a re-organisation of local government.
The event was the final engagement of the last Mayor of Derry, Brenda Stevenson.
And a number of awards were presented to staff acknowledging years of service and dedication to Derry City Council.
