Paul Kee’s Institute side showed heart and courage to come from behind to earn a vital point in their battle to avoid relegation. Institure

In a lively contest, Institute got off to a nightmare start when they conceded a goal after just 27 seconds when Liam Martin ghosted past several defenders to fire home.

Institute responded well and battled hard to force a way back into the game and went close through McCrudden and Hume just before half-time.

Marty Gallagher made two fine saves to keep Institute in the match, and Robbie Hume went close again for the home side, as they pressed hard for an equaliser.

The deserved equaliser came when a through ball from Mark Forker was latched onto by Darren McFadden who squared for McCrudden who finished superbly.

Institute almost forced a winner late on but Ballinamallard held on.

Institute face league leaders Crusaders in their next match at Seaview in a fortnights time.
