BREAKING NEWS: Representatives from Derry City and Celtic FC have finally agreed a deal which will see Michael Duffy make the switch to Parkhead.

Michael Duffy is expected to sign sign for Celtic FC in the next few hours.

Michael Duffy is expected to sign sign for Celtic FC in the next few hours.

Duffy was a sensation for Derry City last season and scored sixteen league goals.

He went over to Celtic twice on trial and impressed scoring twice in a friendly victory over Newcastle United.

Both clubs agreed a deal earlier this morning and all that is left to negotiate now is for Duffy to arrange his personal terms with Celtic.

Duffy follows Niall McGinn and Paddy McCourt who also moved to Celtic from Derry City in recent years.

The move is a dream come true for Duffy who has supported Celtic since he was a boy.

Celtic take on Rangers in the first Old Firm match in over three years.
