derrycitycouncilDERRY CITY COUNCIL SERVICE UPDATE: It is expected that normal services should resume tomorrow across all Derry City Council service areas – to include refuse collection, street cleansing, cemeteries, and recycling centres.

While strong winds and heavy rain are forecast for tomorrow this is not expected to impact on key council services.

Residents whose bins were due for collection today should bring their bins back in to their property and then set them out for collection before 7.30am on Saturday January  17 – customers with any queries about bin services should contact 02871 374 107.

Due to the strong winds forecast for tomorrow residents should take precaution when setting bins out for collection.

Regular users of the Bishops Field 3G pitch are reminded that it will remain closed for the rest of the day (Wednesday) due to the adverse weather conditions.

City of Derry Airport

Passengers are advised to allow extra time for their journey to the Airport today, as driving conditions remain difficult.
