An Emma McGuickin goal for Derry is all that separates the sides at Owenbeg as the Oak Leaf county host last year’s All Ireland finalists today.
Donegal have kicked no less than ten wides to Derry’s three in the opening half.
Derry are leading on a scoreline of 1-5 to 0-5 after a purple patch midway throughout the first half saw McGuickin’s excellent finish before a big crowd.
