Eight teams took to the fairways at North West Golf Club yesterday, looking to book their place in the Winter League semi-finals.
The top qualifier duo of Patrick Duffy and Jimmy McGee had a solid victory over PJ McCarron and Kevin Callaghan, winning 3/2.
Best performance of the day came from Stewart McGinley and Kevin McKinney who defeated a out of sorts pairing of Eamon and Vincent Quigley 8/6.
The father and son pairing of Raymond and Ray Gallagher (Jnr) booked their semi-final spot after defeating Kevin Mc Gowan and Ciaran Quigley two up.
The match of the round was played out between Kevin O’Donnell and Joe Rahim against
the young juvenile pairing of Lee Gallagher and Sean Mc Closkey, it took three extra holes before the experience of Kevin and Joe secured their semi-final place.
