TITANICDANCE SETS SAIL AGAIN FOR DERRY

titanicDance sensation, Titanicdance, is returning to Derry’s Millennium Forum for a limited run in the New Year.

The smash hit show of 2014 will perform again for three nights – Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 5, 6 and 7 Februa

This electrifying show received three standing ovations at its world premiere in Belfast’s Odyssey Arena in May before going on to play to a capacity audience in the Millennium Forum.

It is expected that its short run in February will quickly sell out due to the phenomenal demand it received earlier this year.

David McLaughlin, chief executive of the Forum and co-producer of Titanicdance, said the show took audiences “by storm” during its first performance, selling out  in May and leaving many people disappointed when they couldn’t get tickets.

He added: “The reception it received from local audiences was phenomenal – and rightly so, as it’s an electrifying show featuring hugely talented performers of the highest calibre.

“Since its debut performance here in May, we have been inundated with requests for its return and I’m delighted to be bringing it back for a longer run next February.

“We are expecting the demand for tickets to be huge, so I would strongly urge anyone who doesn’t want to miss this show, to book their seats early!”

Titanicdance tells the story of the world’s most famous ship from its beginning in the Belfast shipyard to its tragic end in the Atlantic Ocean.

A cast of 30 world class Irish dancers and musicians set the scene for a breath-taking romantic performance that’s led by and choreographed by principal dancer and creative director, Raymond Sweeney.

He said he was “overwhelmed” with the reception the show received when it played in Derry.

He added: “I am thrilled that the show captured audiences to such an extent and I’m delighted to be given the opportunity to perform it again to what will undoubtedly be another hugely enthusiastic audience.”

Tickets are available from the Millennium Forum Box Office, telephone 71 264455 or visit www.millenniumforum.co.uk for bookings.
