One of Derry’s employers, Firstsource Solutions, has hit the right note by launching  a new choir for its employees with a little help from local singer and “The Voice” contestant Rachael O’Connor.

The Firstsource Inspire Choir is open to all employees and aims to improve personal development, wellbeing and operational performance in the workplace.

This unique choral concept is seen as a valuable training tool for businesses to encourage positive change in the workplace.

Although the choir is relatively new, it has already attracted around 100 people to come along and have fun.

Laura Hourican GM HR UK & Ireland from Firstsource Solutions said;: “At Firstsource our people are the most important asset to our business, so we welcome initiatives that encourage positive health and wellbeing.

“These programmes all work within our business to create productivity on the centre floor and deliver strong results for our clients.

“The choir was introduced through our partnership with Sing and Inspire to help improve overall customer experience, quality, reduce attrition levels and engage with employees.

“We are really delighted with the response to date and it is refreshing to see employees bring plenty of positivity and energy to their working day.”

Andrea Callanan, founder of Sing and Inspire commented on the launch of the Firstsource Inspire Choir and its importance to business;

“At Sing and Inspire we’re so pleased to be adding so much value to such a fantastic global brand and we’re thrilled with our successful relationship with First Source Solutions across the UK.”

Rachael O’Connor said she was “really excited” to be involved in the launch of the choir.

She said: “I’ve always found music a great way to make friends and have fun. I’m really looking forward to meeting the choir and listening to them sing.”
