WEATHER ALERT: THE North West could face huge downpours today, the Met Office has warned.
Thunder storms similar to those which caused flooding in parts of Co Derry earlier this week may hit the county again today.
BBC Northern Ireland issued the Met Office weather warning last night.
It lasts until around 3pm this afternoon.
A band of heavy rain is expected across the North; with up to 50mm expected to fall.
The forecast for the weekend is better for Saturday with less frequent showers before they make a return on Sunday.
