GAA NEWS: DOIRE COLMCILLE CLUB NOTES

doirecolmcilleDoire Colmcille senior manager, Brian Duffy, has called on all players to step up efforts at training in preparation for the championship.

The team’s first round game against Moneymore has been provisionally fixed for 17 August.

Following a number of indifferent results, Duffy is hoping to end the season with a good championship run.

Everyone at the club extends congratulations to Doire Colmcille senior player, Emmet McGilloway, and his wife on the birth of their baby son.

Training for the club’s underage girls’ team continues at St Columb’s College on Wednesday nights at 7.00pm.

Players should bring boots for training on the grass pitches.

A number of Doire Colmcille kit bags are available for purchase at £20 each.

Training times and venues for all Doire Colmcille club teams for the coming months are as follows:

Underage training has now moved outdoors at St Columb’s College.

Under 8-12: Thursdays 7-8pm and Saturdays 10am to 11.30am.

Nursery Group:  Thursdays 6.15 – 7pm.

Please bring boots, waterproof jacket, water and £2.

Doire Colmcille are keen to welcome new players.

Anyone interested should just turn up and make themselves known to any of the club coaches.

Indoor Training has now finished at St Cecilia’s for the summer.

Under-14, St Columb’s College 3G pitch, Saturdays, 11am to 12.30pm.

Under-16s, St Columb’s College 3G pitch, Saturdays, 11am to 12.30pm and Brooke Park indoor, Tuesdays, 8pm to 9pm.

Under-18s, Tuesdays and Thursdays, St Columb’s College (7pm).

Seniors, Tuesdays and Thursdays, St Columb’s College (7pm).

The club is open to anyone wishing to become involved in Gaelic games in any capacity.
