A 44 year old man is due to appear at Derry Magistrates Court this morning charged in connection with the stabbing of a 43-year-old man in the city at the weekend.
The injured man is in a stable condition in Altnagelvin Hospital after being stabbed in the back at a house in Summer Meadows Park in the Waterside in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The man to appear in court has been charged with attempted murder, threats to kill, attempted grievous bodily harm, two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.
