All members of Doire Colmcille CLG are asked to report to St Columba’s Church, Long Tower at 7.00pm on Monday next to form the traditional guard of honour at the St Columba’s Day celebrations.
The club has performed this role for many years in recognition of Derry’s patron saint from which both the city and club take their name.
This year’s celebration will be the first presided over by new Bishop of Derry, Most Rev Dr Donal McKeown, who was installed as leader of the Catholic Church in the diocese in April.
