THURSDAY OPEN: The high handicap brigade took the top places at yesterday’s Thursday Open at City of Derry.
Peter Lynch emerged the winner, four shots ahead of Billy Acheson in second place with the consistent Fred Young in third spot.
Aaron Taylor, playing off a two handicap, was the winner of the gross section, in very difficult conditions with 34 points

Thursday Society
The final competition of the season, The Ted Pope Trophy will take place on Thursday, 24 April next.
Entry fee is £3.
Presentation will take place at 6.30pm.
There will be a hot buffet and salad bar available in the clubhouse at 6.30pm, the cost of which will be partially sudsidised by the Society.

Junior Golf
Any of City of Derry Golf Club’s junior members interested in playing in the Fred Daly inter-club competition this year is asked to contact junior convenor, Eamon McCourt, as soon as possible.
The first match in the competition is against Mann Castle on Saturday, 26 April.
