Welcoming news that the Department for Social Development has made funding available for “much-needed” work, Cllor Meehan would “certainly enhance” the area for residents.

Cllr Meehan said: “The Triangle is an area within the Waterside Neighbourhood Renewal Area and as a member of the local board I will be seeking out future funding opportunities for the Triangle to ensure the area gets its fair share.

“The clean-up and improvements will take place throughout the Triangle and will certainly enhance the area for residents.”

Cllr Meehan concluded: “The project is scheduled to get underway within the next week.”
