Police in Derry are seeking the public’s assistance in tracing a man who reportedly wielded a knife in the Galliagh area of the city at the weekend.
The man was reported to have had the weapon in his possession in Knockalla Park area around 4.25am on Saturday.
A PSNI spokesperson said the man was believed to be 19 or 20 years old and was wearing a dark coat with a woollen hood and a black baseball hat.
The spokesperson asked anyone with information about the incident to contact police on 0845 600 8000 or a member of your local Neighbourhood Team directly – details of which can found on the PSNI website.
The spokesperson added: “Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
