An elderly woman has died in Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry after being knocked down in Inishowen in Co. Donegal last night.

Maura Porter (70), from Churchtown in Carndonagh, was fatally injured shortly before 6.00pm when she was struck by a car whilst out walking just 200 yards from her home.
Ms Porter received serious head injuries and was rushed by ambulance to Altnagelvin Hospital where she died shortly before midnight.
She is the 13th person to die on Donegal’s roads this year.
