The Galliagh area of Derry is lacking in “services and facilities” as a result of being neglected by “key organisations,” a local councillor has claimed.galliagh

Sinn Féin Cllr Elisha McCallion has revealed she had “engaged”  with a number of “key stakeholders” over the past months and hoped to secure some facilities in the near future.

Cllr McCallion said: “There are a number of key organisations who have neglected the wider Galliagh area for too long and I am working closely with these agencies and others in order to correct this.

“To date there has been a general acceptance that general services and facilities have been lacking in Galliagh and there must be something done to rectify this.”
