Two vehicles stolen in separate incidents were abandoned overnight in the Galliagh and Glen areas of Derry.

The stolen van abandoned at Glen Road.

A blue Nissan X-Trail jeep, which had earlier been stolen in Co. Donegal, was left at the Galliagh Linear Park area between Knockalla Park-Ederowen Park and the Glendale Road area at around 8.45pm.

A blue Peugeot van, stolen from the Creggan Heights area, was later found partially burnt out on the Glen Road.

A PSNI spokesperson asked anyone with information about the two incidents to contact police on 0845 600 8000 or a member of their local Neighbourhood Team directly – details can be found on the PSNI website.

Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they could contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.
