Goals from Chris Trussell, Geard McAlea and Daniel Smith gave the home side a comfortable 3-0 half-time lead.

Darren McFadden threw the visitors a lifeline when he found the net in the 70th minute.

However, the Drumahoe side where delt a blow when midfielder Darren McCauley was shown a straight red card.

Keith Buckley and a second from Trussell in the dying minutes secured a comfortable win for the Comrades.

Stute now find themselves three points behind leaders Dundela who have two games in hand. The two meet next week in a game that Paul Kee’s must win to keep their title chances alive.

More worryingly for manager Kee is his side, who have amassed 20 points from their 11 games played, are a now a point ahead of Bangor who have a game in hand a two in front of Carrick Rangers who have a two game advantage.
