Charlotte Maye is the new All Ireland President of Methodist Women in Ireland (MWI).
Mrs Maye, from Donegal, was installed to the position by the President of the Methodist Church, Rev Dr Heather Morris, at a service held Carlisle Road Methodist Church in Derry.
The outgoing President, Mrs Maureen Weir, thanked the several hundred people for attending, many travelling from throughout Ireland.
She also thanked the General Committee of the Methodist Church and her family, who had supported her two years of Presidency.
The President of the Methodist Church, Rev Dr Heather Morris, thanked Maureen for her godly leadership, her vision and passion for Christ and thanked the new President for taking up the MWI reins under her theme, “Shine for Jesus – Share His love.”
The service concluded with that great Wesleyan favourite “Love Divine, all Loves Excelling.”
