Police are warning parents in Strabane to be vigilant following two separate incidents in which children were approached by an adult.Van torced

Police do not believe the incidents, which occurred on Saturday but were not reported until yesterday, are linked.

The first incident occurred at  St Mary’s Drive at around 8.20pm when a man, described as being in his 40s, approximately 5’9″ tall and bald, approached a 10 year-old girl who ran home.

The second incident  occurred at Eden Terrace at approximately 7.00pm when a man possibly in his 40s, and in a blue coloured Vauxhall Corsa car invited two seven-year-old girls into his car. Again they didn’t co-operate and ran home.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “If anyone can provide any information regarding these incidents please contact police at Strabane.”
