Fire crews from throughout the North West attended a major fire at a farm just outside Claudy late last night.
As well as the local firefighters, fire crews from Crescent Link and Northland Road in Derry, Dungiven, Strabane at Maghera fought the blaze at a large shed on a farm on Glenshane Road just outside Dungiven.
The shed contained a large quantity of straw, a combine harvester and an amount of artificial fertiliser and fire crews used three main jets, an aerial monitor and a water tanker to douse the flames. Mechanical diggers were also used to extract the hay from the building.
