Sinn Féin Councillor Eric McGinley has congratulated all those who received GCSE awards through Derry City Council’s KickStart to Work Programme.
Over 20 people from across the city and district graduated from the programme with GCSE awards in Maths, English and ICT.
KickStart to work enables Derry people across a wide age range to achieve qualifications which they had been unable to acquire in their earlier years.
Cllr McGinley said “This is a significant step in people equipping themselves to meet the employability demands which they face in their efforts to find meaningful jobs.”
He concluded: “Having attended the graduation ceremony in the Guildhall I would like to commend and congratulate everyone for their efforts and success.”
