Derry’s migrant workers and ethnic minorities are being offered the opportunity to improve their English and local awareness.derry

Classes to be delivered by the North West Academy of English will cost £10 for 10 lessons. All participants will be presented with a certificate on completion.

To meet the criteria, you must live in the Derry City Council area and be available to attend the classes from October  – December  (Tuesdays: 6:00-8:00pm).

The English lessons are for beginner to intermediate levels with the cost being provided at a minimum thanks to funding from the District Council’s Community Relations Programme

The course is for longer term local residents who don’t speak English as a first language so are not open to applications from international students.

If you know anyone who may be interested in signing up,  pass on the information to them to help spread the word!

To register for a place on the course and to receive an application form please contact: NW  Academy of English, 6a Northland Rd, BT487HU, Tel: 028 71 37077.  E-mail: [email protected]
