The planners have given the go-ahead for the construction of a new healthcare facility in the Waterside area of the city.
Brooklands Healthcare is looking to develop an 82-bed healthcare facility to include facilities for dementia care, elderly mentally infirm (EMI) and general nursing.
The development, at 1a Belt Road, Altnagelvin will see the demolition of existing Northern Ireland water offices and storage sheds.
Planners have also given the approval to the developers to carry out landscaping, parking and associated site works.
