Greysteel killer Stephen Irwin is back on the streets.
The 40-year-old UFF murderer was freed for a second time this week when he walked out of Maghaberry Prison.
It’s the second time he has been released under the Good Friday Agreement.
Irwin fired 44 shots at his victims as he killed eight innocent people – seven Catholics and a Protestant – in the ‘Trick or Treat’ slaughter in the Rising Sun Bar on Halloween night 1993.
He was returned to jail to serve out the remainder of his eight life sentences when he was involved in a vicious knife attack during the Irish Cup Final in 2005.
His release for a second time has come as a shock to relatives of those who died – and to prison warders who have described him as a “nutter.”
