POLICE are appealing for information about an assault during which a man was beaten around the face with a pair of crutches in Derry.
The attack happened last Wednesday, September 23 and just after 1.30 pm police received a call to say there was a disturbance in the car park at Victoria Market.
A man in his 30s suffered swelling to his face and also cuts to his face and one ear.
He was treated at the scene by a paramedic crew.
Invesigating officer Constable Tracy Flynn said an arrest was made at the scene of the attack.
But police were keen to hear from anyone who saw the incident to contact her on the 101 non emergency number.
