SUSPENDED JAIL SENTENCE FOR WOMAN WHO WRONGLY CLAIMED £19,900 IN BENEFITS
A Derry woman has been given a suspended jail sentence at the city’s Crown Court for claiming almost £20,000 in benefits she was not entitled to.
Natascha Houston (31),;qhWHO of Stephens Court, claimed Jobseekers Allowance and Housing Benefit totalling £19,939 while failing to declare employment.
She was given a nine month prison sentence suspended for two years.
She is also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
