Derry City are in Dublin tonight to take on defending champions St Patrick’s Athletic at Richmond Park as they go in search of a first away win of the season in the SSE Airtricity Division One (kick-off 7.45pm).
Derry manager has a depleted squad to select from.
“Pizza,” as he is affectionately known, will be missing eight players through injury – David Elebert (calf), Cormac Burke (ankle), Mark Timlin (ankle), Dean Jarvis (calf), Roddy Collins Jnr (calf), Aaron Barry (head injury), goalkeeper Ciaran Gallagher (head injury) and Ryan McBride (hamstring).
Also missing will be defender Cliff Byrne due to an agreement reached with the club when he signed at the start of the season.
The sides fought-out a forgettable 0-0 draw when they met in the Brandywell earlier in the season.
Derry have not won at Richmond Park in nearly five years, their last victory at the home of the champions coming in October 2009 when goals from Gareth McGlynn and David McDaid secured the points for the Candystripes.
Hutton’s first signing since taking over from Roddy Collins, Philip Lowry, who yesterday joined the Candystripes from Irish League club Linfield, will also not feature in the game.
The 24-year-old midfielder will join the Brandywell squad on Sunday afternoon and is not be eligible to play for Derry City until July because of the transfer window.
Lowry, from Limavady, joined Linfield from Derry club Institute in 2009 and was rated as one of the most talented attacking midfielders in the Irish League.
An under-21 Northern Ireland international, scored 53 goals in 204 appearances for the Blues.
