THE Department of Health has reported a further 99 Coronavirus cases in the North of Ireland in the last 24 hours.
Thats a rise of 16 on figures given yesterday for Monday.
There has been no further deaths from the deadly virus with the death toll, mostly in hospitals across the North, now at 2,146.
In the past week, the Department has recorded 624 new cases of Coronavirus.
There has been a further 20 positive cases in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area in the past 24 hours.
Within the past week there have been a further 152 COVID-19 cases in the Derry and Strabane area.
That means that since the pandemic started in March there have now been 12,325 positive cases within the council boundary – the fourth highest among all 11 councils in the North.
The rate of infection within the Derry and Strabane council area is now at 100.9 cases per 100,000, the highest in the North of Ireland.
The Department has recorded a total of 136 coronavirus deaths within the Derry and Strabane council area to date – the third lowest out of all councils here.
Bed occupancy across all hospitals is now up to 101 per cent.
There are currently 72 patients in hospital with Coronavirus, a rise of ten on the previous day.
Seven patients are being treated in intensive care with five patients on ventilators.
Six care homes are now dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak with a further 651 concluded Coronavirus outbreaks in care homes.
