Both males are currently in custody at Strand Road police station.
A trip to Derry Magistrates’ Court is now on the cards for the pair.
PSNI Foyle say on its Facebook page: “Ballyarnett Npt observed a male on the Branch Road who was wanted for arrested, but instantly lost sight of him.
“Whilst looking for this male we located a second fugitive who was having a causal cigarette at the entrance to a local public house.
“Unfortunately for this male he didn’t take police advice back in March.
“He decided not to sort out his bench warrant at a time that suited him.
“As a result he has now swapped his pint for a five alive and a quiz night for some bed time reading.
“Having just lodged this gentleman at Hotel Strand Road we immediately head back out on patrol and locate the original male approximately 30 seconds later at the top of Lawrence Hill.
“This male was not fit for interview.
“Therefore he will get the all inclusive package until he wakes up and has to answer some questions in relation to possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a blade or point back in July in the area of Bracken Park.
