POLICE at Derry’s ‘Enterprise’ station on Strand Road have taken to social media in an effort to trace stolen property….namely Star Trek trading cards!
Around 3,800 of the cards were taken during a recent burglary.
One card alone could fetch as little as £2 on Ebay.
Police are asking the public for their help in tracing the cards in the same way they helped in locating missing Pixie the four month old pup who was stolen in Shantallow last week but later reunited with its young owners.
An officer posted on PSNI Foyle’s Facebook page: “I canny change the laws of physics, but I can try and return stolen property and solve crimes.
“A burglary has occurred in the city and approx 3800 Star Trek trading cards were stolen and these have quite a high value. 💰
“You helped me return Pixie…can you help with this?
“If you have seen or been offered any, please let us know on 101 quoting reference number 737 of 05/06/17.
