POLICE in Derry have praised their public’s help in passing on information about various criminal and traffic offences.
Officers say the information has helped local neighbourhood team deal with traffic offences, drugs, repeat offenders and possession of offensive weapons.
PSNI Foyle say: “Over the past fortnight the local community in the Bogside, Brandywell and Fountain shared with us their main concerns.
“This is what your local neighbourhood policing team has achieved with that information.

4 x repeat pavement parking offenders fined
2 x uninsured vehicle seizures
2 x house searches conducted
2 x road traffic offences dealt with
1 x stolen vehicle recovered
1 x offender remanded in prison
1 x offender bailed outside of the city
Various community events attended
Drugs and contraband items seized
Recovered weapons used in offences
