SINN Fein councillor Sandra Duffy has welcomed the news that there will be a blanket ban on so called ‘legal highs’.
She said: “I very much welcome this enforcement.
“This is something Sinn Féin put pressure on the health and justice ministers on in the last mandate of the Assembly.
“There is no doubt about the misery ‘legal highs’ have caused across all communities. They have led to deaths and caused untold harm to so many, particularly young people.
“Sinn Féin has consistently called for an all-Ireland approach to deal with so-called legal highs,” she added.
