GARDAI have charged a 29-year-old man with the murder of Michael Barr in Dublin last month.
Barr, who is originally from Strabane and a member of the ‘New IRA’, was shot dead in the Sunset House pub in the north inner city on April 25.
The man was arrested on Friday and was being held at the Bridewell Garda Station.
He is due in court this morning.
Barr is one of seven victims understood to be killed so far in an ongoing feud between two criminal gangs – the Kinahans and the Hutch mobs.
He is believed to have been shot dead by the Kinahan gang in revenge for a murder at boxing weigh in in Dublin at the Regency Hotel weeks earlier.
