SINN Féin’s Martin McGuinness has instructed party accountants to publish his tax returns.
It follows the decision by DUP First Minister Arlene Foster to publish tax returns in a bid to show transparency.
A Sinn Féin statement said this evening: “Martin McGuinness’s assembly income is taxed at source under PAYE.
“He takes home an average wage and donates the balance to the party.”
The statement added that in 2011, Mr McGuinness published his bank statements during the Irish presidential election campaign.
