POLICE are on the trail of burglars who broke into a house in Co Derry and stole cash and jewellery.
The stolen jewellery is said to be of sentimental value to their owner.
The PSNI say the burglary happened some time between 5.30 pm and 8.15 pm last Saturday, January 30 at a house in the Mitchell Park area of Dungiven.
A PSNI spokesperson confirmed entry was also forced at a neighbouring property sometime during the same evening.
However, it is believed nothing was stolen in this incident.
The police are appealing for information about the incidents.
A spokesperson said: “Anyone with any information about these incidents is asked to contact Detectives in Coleraine on the non-emergency number 101.
“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
