SINN Féin MLA Raymond McCartney has said the North West has benefited hugely from the work of the ministerial sub group set up to tackle regional disparities.
Mr McCartney said: “The ministerial subgroup which was established to tackle the regional disparity which existed in the north west for decades is already yielding positive results for the city and wider north west region.
“Those who criticise the work of the subgroup would be better looking at their own voting record, particularly those who voted against the 2016/17 budget which guaranteed funding for the A5 and A6.
“These are two landmark infrastructure projects which will transform the economic and physical landscapes of the north west, help create jobs and grow the economy.
“The work of ministerial sub group has also resulted in a project to create Grade A office accommodation to Ebrington as well as planning the economic strategy for the former Shackleton site at Ballykelly which will house the DARD headquarters.
“This is real delivery that people can see and Sinn Féin will continue to work with all stakeholders to ensure it continues for the benefit of all.”
