THE police are dealing with a security alert in Clady this morning.
It follows claims that an “explosive device” has been left in the area.
Urney Road has been closed between Bells Road and Bellspark Road.
Diversions are in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area..
The PSNI are advising people living in or travelling through the village of Clady to be vigilant.
Anyone who notices any suspicious objects is advised not to touch them.
The advice is to ring the police immediately on the emergency 999 telephone number.
The latest alert comes after a viable bomb was found on Wednesday in the village of Feeny near Dungiven.
