FIRE crews are tackling a massive fire in the Campsie area of Derry this morning.
The blaze broke out this morning at the former Brickkiln recycling plant in Campsie.
It is understood the alarm was raised by a security guard at the site.
Scores of firefighters are involved in the operation to bring the fire under control.
Eight fire crews from Northland Road and Crescent Link in Derry and firefighters from Strabane are currently at the scene using jet hose reels to put the fire.
It is not yet known how the fire was started.
Palls of black smoke are streaming across Campsie.
But Derry City Airport say that the fire is not affecting flights in an out of the airport.
