A car repair business has been gutted in an overnight fire in Co Derry.
Up to 45 firefighters were involved in tackling a blaze that broke out at industrial units at Hillmans Fancy near Coleraine Football Club last night around 10.30 pm.
The blaze was at a building has a car repair workshop, engineering works and car wash on the main Coleraine to Londonderry railway line.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
First appliances at the scene requested extra resources to attend.
At the height of the inferno eight fire engines and a specialist Command Support unit were in attendance with over 45 personnel.
A NIFRS spokesman said the fire at two units was well developed when the first crews arrived on the scene with flames licking through the roof.
“These were well alight with the fire breaking through the roof. During the fire it was threatening a third unit there and work by the crews managed to stop that.
“At the end of the four-hour operation the first two units were completely destroyed.”
Crews from Coleraine were supported by colleagues from Portrush, Portstewart, Ballymoney and Kilrea.
Firefighters used an unmanned jet to contain the blaze due to the risk of the property collapsing.
They prevented the blaze spreading to a neighbouring oil depot including six oil tankers.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
