TEN man Derry ground out a 1-0 win against St Patrick’s Athletic tonight in their own back yard.
The three points help to move the Candystripes up to seventh place with 25 points now from 26 games.
Peter Hutton’s men took the lead on 19 minutes when Ciaran O’Connor popped up and scored.
But 26 minutes later Morrions did Derry’s fortunes no favours when he was sent off just before the half time whistle.
In the shock of the SSE fixtures, fifth placed Bohemians were seconds away away from a famous win on only for Dundalk to equalise at 2-2 in the dying moments of the game.
