THE chair of the Assembly’s Health Committee has hit out at the cost of a review in the North’s creaking health service.
Sinn Fein MLA Maeve McLaughlin, says Sir Liam Donaldons’s report cost £116,000 and took eight months.
“And all it has done is highlight issues that were already well known,” said the MLA.
The report has recommended that the RQAI health inspectorate should become independent of the Department of Health so it can do its work better.
